The New Existentialists band live at The Woodshed, Whangārei, on Saturday 27 September 2025.
West Auckland psychedelic renegades the New Existentialists are venturing north to Whangarei for the very first time!
Also on the bill is Moppy, the solo project of Thom Burton of Guardian Singles fame.
Formed in West Auckland circa 2012 by songwriting legend George Henderson, and named after one of English philosopher Colin Wilson’s primary themes, The New Existentialists could be best described as a mix of “freakbeat, softcore, and austere psychedelia”.
They have released 3 albums and an EP and have another album ‘Bad Astrology’ about to be released by the Austrian label Zelle Records.
